Truckload, intermodal and logistics services provider Schneider this month began offering intermodal services at the CSX Indianapolis ramp, the Wisconsin-based company announced Tuesday.
Eastbound freight will travel from Indianapolis to North Bergen, N.J., and Worcester, Mass. Each lane operates six days per week and offers eastbound two- to three-day transit times. Inbound freight will travel from North Bergen to Indianapolis.
With the addition of the ramp, which Schneider said provides shippers in the central and southern Indiana, Louisville, Ky., and Cincinnati markets with “a more cost-competitive transportation option to eastern markets,” the company now offers intermodal services to more than 40 ramps throughout North America.
