   An updated and enhanced version of PortTruckPass (PTP), the Port of New York and New Jersey’s web-based Port Community System portal, is expected to launch by Nov. 19.
   The updated version, PTP 2.0, includes:
   • Terminal Information Portal System (TIPS) upgrades;
   • More streamlined features to research container and booking inquiries and vessel schedules;
   • New appointment modules and capabilities;

   • Information for all six container terminals;
   • And a mobile app.
   PTP was developed by the container terminal operators in the Port of New York and New Jersey in partnership with the Port Authority of NY & NJ in 2014. The port said it was the first common portal of its kind in the country allowing users — primarily truckers, beneficial cargo owners, shippers and NVOCCs — to more efficiently research information and plan activities associated with cargo transactions across multiple terminals.

The CI1/AS6APL has inserted a westbound call to Port Kelang and replaced Pipavav in favor of Karachi, which increased the total transit from 35 days to 42 days round. The vessel changes will result in an increased service capacity by 89 percent or 27,197 TEUs.
