New York-based company adds industry veterans and offices in Texas and South Carolina.

Honor Worldwide Logistics LLC said it has joined Janel Group, a global provider of integrated logistics solutions with offices across the United States.
Honor will add offices in Houston and Charleston, S.C., to the New York-headquartered Janel network and will contribute veteran leadership in the oil and gas and project cargo verticals, according to an announcement from the Janel Group.
John Onorato, president and founder of Honor Worldwide, will serve as a director on Janel’s senior team.
“John and his team value their commitment to their customers above all, a perfect fit with Janel’s core culture,” said Karen Kenney, Janel Group president. “The addition of the Honor team’s industry knowledge and deep expertise in their verticals to the Janel network is an exciting win as we continue to innovate and build our business for our customers, for Janelers and for our partners.”
The fear of U.S. tariffs pushed short-term demand and air freight rates in the transpacific this peak season, but rates have also been remarkably strong in the transatlantic and Europe-to-Asia routes this year.
The Drewry-assessed World Container Index, a composite of container freight rates on eight major routes to and from the U.S., Europe and Asia, was down 5.7 percent to $1,689.95 per 40-foot container as of Jan. 10.
