Klinge Corp. has introduced a new and lower-cost version of its blast freezer container, which quickly freezes cargo to -60°C (-76°F).
The new version of its CBU-30 freezer follows the company's acquisition of Denmark’s Norfrig Equipment last year and the decision to shift production to the company’s headquarters in York, Pa.
The company has also introduced a “marinized and ruggedized” nose-mount freezer, NMF-371, which it says is tailored to ocean shipments of ultra-low temperature cargo. Klinge said a previous version was largely used in stationary locations and not necessariy intended for marine transport.
