Canadian supply chain software firm Descartes Systems Group has extended its Global Logistics Network Compliance Service for electronic customs filing and cross-border compliance to include ground vehicles entering Canada.
Descartes said it extended the product to assist compliance with the revised Advance Commercial Information (ACI) e-Manifest initiative, which mandates that the Canada Border Services Agency receive advance electronic notification of cargo shipments arriving in Canada by highway.
“As the leading provider of e-Manifest services for air and marine ACI reporting, we can now extend this leadership across all modes of transportation, including highway and rail, by providing comprehensive services that support the uninterrupted flow and safety of cross-border cargo traffic between Canada and the U.S.,” said Oryst Dydynsky, Descartes’ vice president of cross border and regulatory affairs.
