A new initiative to reduce tarmac congestion at Newark Liberty International Airport could improve air cargo reliability for carriers and their customers. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey said last week that it will construct two high-speed taxiways that are more gently angled to allow planes faster exits from the runway upon landing.
