CSX Corp. has promoted Andrew Glassman to vice president of operations finance.
He has served as assistant vice president of intermodal marketing since 2010. Prior to joining the Jacksonville, Fla.-based railroad he held financial executive positions in the telecommunications industry.
Hanson Logistics, a St. Joseph, Mich.-based provider of temperature-controlled supply chain services, promoted Jack White to vice president and chief financial officer.
White joined the company in 2009. Prior to that, he spent 18 years at the Maytag Corp. and Whirlpool Corp. in finance roles.
The Tampa Port Authority has hired Raul Alfonso to lead the authority’s marketing and real estate development efforts.
Currently serving as senior director of trade development and global marketing for the Jacksonville Port Authority, Alfonso will begin his new post in Tampa on Feb. 4.
Alfonso, a 30 year maritime industry veteran, began his career at the Port of Miami and then worked for Hutchison Port Holdings with commercial responsibilities for the Americas region. He joined Jaxport in 2002 as director of marketing and trade development for Latin America. In 2006, he was promoted to director of container cargo, with business development responsibilities for all global trades. In 2009, Alfonso was promoted to his current position in Jacksonville.
Derrel E. Chappell has joined SynchroNet Intermodal Services as director of sales for North America domestic services.
In his role, he is responsible for developing business from intermodal marketing copmany (IMC) freight customers and will focus on marketing and sales of Synchronet’s stack-train service through its door-to-door and the ramp-to-ramp service offerings.
Prior to joining Synchronet, Chappell was director of wholesale business development at Schneider National. He was also vice president of business development for automotive in Mexico for Pacer Stacktrain and held a variety of positions at APL Stacktrain Services.
