G6 will enter Asia-U.S. East Coast service in May

   The G6 Alliance of container carriers on Tuesday confirmed rumored plans to expand into the the trade between Asia and the U.S. East Coast this spring.    The G6 is a combination of six container carriers - the so-called Grand Alliance of NYK, Hapag-Lloyd and OOCL, and the New World Alliance of APL, Hyundai, and MOL.    G6 said it will deploy more than 50 ships in the trade that will call at 30 ports in Asia, the North American east coast, Central America, the Caribbea...
