Michigan-based truck equipment manufacturer Adrian Steel will move into an 11-acre, 32,000-square-foot facility in Kansas City in September.
The $4.7 million development will be used to supply parts to the Ford Motor Co.
The company will install interiors for the Ford Transit commercial vans.
“The continued investment from auto manufacturing giants including Ford and GM makes the K.C. region a very attractive location for suppliers to the auto industry,” Bob Marcusse, president and chief executive officer of the Kansas City Area Development Council, said in a statement.
The development council worked together with representatives from the state, city and other area organizations to bring Adrian Steel to the area. - Jon Ross
