U.S. to hike tariffs on Chinese solar panel imports

The U.S. Commerce Department on Thursday announced an affirmative preliminary determination in the antidumping duty investigation of solar panel imports, whether or not assembled into modules or solar cells, from China. Dumping occurs when a foreign company sells a product in the United States at less than fair value.
