U.S. duties on Chinese solar panel imports take hold

   With the U.S. government’s recent order to impose duties of Chinese solar panels, a group representing U.S. manufacturers of this equipment warned importers that tariffs may climb.    Federal orders were issued on Dec. 7 to activate final anti-subsidy and antidumping duty rates ranging from 24 percent to 255 percent on imports of Chinese crystalline silicon cells and panels since last spring.
