Truckers seek Supreme Court review of LA port case

The American Trucking Associations last week filed a petition with the U.S. Supreme Court seeking review of its case against the Port of Los Angeles. The ATA prevailed on the major issue in its dispute with the port when the 9th Circuit of Appeals ruled in September that the Port of Los Angeles could not ban the use of independent contractors at the port in favor of employee truck drivers.
