Savannah study recommends 47-foot depth
|
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers released a report Wednesday recommending the Savannah River be deepened from 42 to 47 feet. The Savannah Harbor Expansion Project study, which consists of a General Re-evaluation Report and an Environmental Impact Statement, looked at options ranging from keeping the harbor at its current depth to deepening it to 48 feet.
