Saia buys brokerage, 3PL business

   Saia Inc., a less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier, has acquired Robart Transportation Inc. and its subsidiary The RL Services Group (known collectively as the Robart Cos.).     Robart Cos., based in Duluth, Ga., has provided truckload brokerage and logistics services since 1981.    "This acquisition supports our strategic goal of diversifying our portfolio of service offerings," said Richard O'Dell, Saia president and chief executive officer.    Sharon...
