Ryder names Cooke U.S., Canada operations head

Ryder System has appointed Dennis C. Cooke to senior vice president and operations chief for its Fleet Management Solutions business segment in the United States and Canada. Cooke joins Ryder following a 22-year career with GE and related companies. In 2005, he was named president and chief executive officer of GE Security's Homeland Protection business.
