Ryder beats veteran employment goal

At the end of last month, Ryder System surpassed its goal of hiring 1,000 veterans by the end of the year, a pledge made in November 2011 as part of the federal government’s Hiring Our Heroes program. Ten percent of Ryder’s workforce now consists of veterans. The veterans now working at Ryder serve as truck drivers, diesel mechanics and warehouse employees.
