The stern of Rena has mostly submerged after the ship broke in half on Astrolabe Reef, off the coast of Tauranga, New Zealand during a storm over the weekend. The ship went aground on the reef in October and its condition has been deteriorating in recent months as salvors have worked to remove oil and containers.
