Port Manatee awards $13 million contract

Manatee County Port Authority in Florida has approved a $13 million contract with American Bridge Co. for a 584-foot extension of Berth 12 and a 10-acre container yard. The project is expected to be completed in June 2013, in advance of the completion of the Panama Canal expansion. Once completed, Berth 12 will be 1,584 long with a 40-foot draft.
