The less-than-truckload carrier Old Dominion Freight Line has released a new mobile app designed to allow customers to more easily follow their shipments and connect with the company.
The new app, launched Tuesday for Apple mobile devices, allows customers to log into their online accounts, view bills of lading and shipment details, schedule pickups, find their closest service center, and receive custom and generic shipping estimates.
The app, called OD4mobile, is an extension of odfl4me.com, Old Dominion’s online portal for customers. An identical mobile app is expected to launch during the third quarter for smart phones using the Android platform. - Eric Johnson
