NS starts building Charlotte intermodal hub

   Norfolk Southern has broken ground on an intermodal hub for transferring containers between trains and trucks in Charlotte, N.C.    The Charlotte Regional Intermodal Facility is located at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport and will be capable of handling 200,000 lifts per year.
