Internet Truckstop, one of the largest Web-based freight matching services in the transportation industry, will be fully integrated with MercuryGate's Transportation Management System on Oct. 5.
The companies have worked together for years, previously integrating Internet Truckstop’s flagship products for searching and posting loads with MercuryGate’s platform. The companies said next month customers will be able to use MercuryGate’s system to access Internet Truckstop's latest decision support tools such as its CACCI, which has modules covering carrier performance reporting (CPR), authority history, CSA/score analysis, carrier directory, and cargo/liability insurance monitoring.
Internet Truckstop said it will continue to work on further integration with the second project scheduled for the October around its RateMate service. This spot market rate indexing tool will also be accessible through MercuryGate’s own carrier management system, Carma.
RateMate provides a daily accumulation of U.S. and Canadian lane-rate information and paid freight rate information submitted by Internet Truckstop dry van, refrigerated and flatbed customers. The two said they believe these applications present more value to customers if they’re accessible from within an TMS to help provide historical rate information around loads, lanes, and equipment.
The service within MercuryGate will allow users to select menu options built around the loads themselves and make decisions from within a single platform.
