Mahindra Satyam launched a new series of business insight services around information management for global retailers.
The new service, called REIMS (Retail Enterprise Information Management System), is aimed at helping large retailers improve their decision-making through cloud-based systems.
Mahesh Vasudevanallur, head of the retail and consumer packaged goods practice for Mahindra Satyam, said REIMS is both a cloud and mobile-enabled offering that gathers data and provides related decisions in processes including sorting and merchandising, supply chain management, warehousing, performance analysis, customer analytics, multi-channel Web, mobile, and social media.
"In the last few years we have seen dramatic changes in the retail landscape. There are mountains of raw data stored in different pockets throughout the retail business - with diverse supply chains, volatile customer needs and extensive product lines," Vasudevanallur said.
The company, based in Hyderabad, India, also has a presence in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
