Maersk to assess Asia-Latin America peak fee

   Maersk Line said Friday it will assess a set of peak season surcharges from Asia to Latin America over the next month.    The line said the $300-per-TEU fee is needed because of a shortage of 20-foot dry containers on the trade.    The start dates for the fee are: April 23 from the Far East (excluding Taiwan) to Latin America (excluding Colombia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands) May 20 from Taiwan to Latin America (excluding Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina)...
