Maersk suspends fog surcharge

   Maersk Line said it has decided to suspend a previously announced "fog congestion" surcharge for the port of Qingdao, China.    "The fog season has been lighter than expected, so the surcharge was suspended," said Timothy Simpson, a spokesman for the company.    Last month the carrier said it was going to impose a $100 per container  surcharge on ships calling the port during June and July because of increased waiting time and because of additional fuel costs incurred ...
