Maersk raising rates from Asia to Americas

Maersk Line said this week it plans to increase rates between Asia and several Americas regions from March 15. The increases are: From the Far East to the east coast of South America, $600 per TEU. From the Far East to the Caribbean (including Colombia and Venezuela, but excluding Cuba and the Colombian port of Buenaventura), $560 per 20-foot container and $800 per 40-foot or 40-foot high-cube container.
