Maersk raises rates on South America routes

   Ocean carrier Maersk Line said it's raising rates on some South America routes.    From Houston and New Orleans as well as Veracruz and Altamira, Mexico to Santos and Sao Paulo, Brazil will be $100 for 20-foot, 40-foot and 45-foot containers.    Maersk said from Brazil to the United States, Canada, Central America, and the West Coast of South America the rates will increase by $100 per 20-foot container.
