Maersk drops Asia-Europe loop

     Maersk Line confirmed to American Shipper Wednesday that it has reduced the number of services it offers on the Asia-North Europe trade from seven to six.    The reduction won’t, however, affect the carrier’s Daily Maersk product, which promises daily cut-offs at four ports in Asia and guaranteed transportation times at three Northern European ports, the line said.    The maritime analyst Alphaliner earlier this week wrote that Maersk’s AE8 service, which it jointly ...
