Maersk Line said its U.S. East Coast-to-Asia TP3 service, operated jointly with CMA-CGM, will be adding a 17th vessel to the rotation.
The carrier said "this winter season change will add seven days to the East Coast U.S. to Asia product that is currently offered, though there will be no impact on the Asia to East Coast U.S., nor the Asia to West Coast U.S. or West Coast U.S. to Asia products offered on the butterfly service of TP9."
The 17-vessel rotation has began with the sailing of the Albert Maersk
Dec. 12 and is expected to continue until March 2013. The service will
slow-steam via the Cape of Good Hope during the winter slack season. - Chris Dupin
