MSC raises Asia-to-U.S. container rates

   Liner carrier Mediterranean Shipping Co. said it's raising rates on cargo moving from Asia/Southeast Asia countries to the United States, including Puerto Rico.    The general rate increases, effective Sept. 1, are as follows: To U.S. West Coast ports and Puerto Rico, $400 per 20-foot container, $500 per 40-foot container, and $550 per 40-foot high-cube container.
