The Port of Long Beach has posted a video update
of its expansive Middle Harbor Redevelopment Project.
The project is designed to connect and modernize three existing terminals into a more efficient container gateway. In January 2012, OOCL inked a 40-year lease deal with the port, worth $4.6 billion. The terminal will be built in two phases over nine years.
The video shows one portion of the wharf completed, with the northern section of the wharf due to be complete in spring 2014. The terminal's first set of container cranes are expected to arrive in November.
