E-commerce service provider Le Groupe La Poste has acquired ORIUM, an e-fulfillment specialist, to expand its operations and build out its existing logistics subsidiary NEOLOG.
NEOLOG offers stock management, order preparation, delivery solutions, and international transport and parcel delivery, and currently oversees 5,000 daily deliveries for e-commerce customers.
ORIUM provides logistics and fulfillment services to help clients with cross-channel grow order fulfillment, shipping, and transport in France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
The combined NEOLOG and ORIUM will offer a network of 18 European distribution centers, access to the Reflex warehouse management system, a European contact center, and extensive transport services.
Le Groupe La Poste has set a 2015 goal to become a European leader in postal and financial services, and the company said acquisitions are a key part of its growth strategy. - Geoff Whiting
