Trailer Bridge said Monday it has appointed Chris Dombalis as chief executive officer, effective Jan. 16.
Dombalis, who will also serve on Trailer Bridge’s board, succeeds Frank Halliwell , who served as interim CEO since October 2012.
Dombalis has more than 30 years of executive experience in the maritime and logistics industries. Most recently, he served as executive vice president of Maher Terminals, one the largest multi-user container terminal operators in the world. Prior to that, Dombalis founded Summit Global Logistics, and before that spent more than 20 years in the liner carrier industry with Sea-Land, MOL, and P&O Nedlloyd.
"We are excited to have Chris join the Trailer Bridge team,” said Chairman Evan Behrens. “His extensive industry experience and strategic vision will help continue the company's intense focus on customer service while positioning us to capitalize on numerous growth opportunities."
