Hapag takes delivery of first megaship

The liner carrier Hapag-Lloyd held a naming ceremony Friday for its largest ever vessel, the 13,200-TEU Hamburg Express , the first of a series of 10 vessels ordered in December 2010 to be deployed on the Asia-Europe trade. The vessel will go into the G6 Alliance-operated Loop 4. The service is currently operated with 10 vessels with an average capacity of 11,740 TEUs.
