Grimaldi to launch new Med-U.S. service

   Grimaldi, the Italy-based parent company of Atlantic Container Line, plans to start a new direct service between the Mediterranean and North America, as soon as the second half of next year or 2014.    In an interview with American Shipper 's editorial staff, Andy Abbott, ACL's chief executive officer, said start-up of the service will depend on when eastbound volume picks up.    He said the service would be oriented toward the roll-on/roll-off trade, though ...
