Flaminia owner hopes to enter German waters

   More than five weeks after a fire ravaged a Mediterranean Shipping Co.-operated containership in the Atlantic Ocean, the stricken vessel appears to have found a safe haven.    The vessel’s German owner Reederei NSB, said Monday it is hopeful of being granted permission for the ship to enter German waters by the country’s ministry of transportation. The 6,732-TEU MSC Flaminia has been assigned to the German Central Command for Maritime Emergencies in Cuxhaven for further coordination. ...
