Feds provide $10 million to help unsnarl Chicago rails

   Illinois has been awarded a grant from the federal government to help unsnarl rail traffic in the Chicago region.    A $10.4 million Transportation Investments Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) grant will complete a funding package of local projects in the Chicago Region Environmental and Transportation Efficiency (CREATE) program.    The projects include new track and signal systems that will ease congestion on freight, Amtrak, and Metra commuter railroads.  &n...
