Feds provide $10 million to help unsnarl Chicago rails

Illinois has been awarded a grant from the federal government to help unsnarl rail traffic in the Chicago region. A $10.4 million Transportation Investments Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) grant will complete a funding package of local projects in the Chicago Region Environmental and Transportation Efficiency (CREATE) program.
