FedEx orders 19 more jets from Boeing

FedEx said Friday it will purchase 19 additional 767-300 planes from Boeing. The B767s will be delivered from fiscal 2015 to 2019 and replace current MD-10s and A310-200s. As part of the deal, FedEx will convert four orders for B777s to B767s. The B767s will provide similar capacity to the MD-10s, with a 30 percent increase in fuel efficiency and a reduction in unit operating costs of more than 20 percent.
