The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received seven ocean transportation intermediary license applications and changes for review.
The FMC received a non-vessel-operating common carrier license application from Safeway Shipping and Clearing Services, Houston (Ibraheem O. Iyiola, vice president).
The agency also received NVO/ocean freight forwarder license applications from Aduanair Cargo & Courier Corp., Doral, Fla. (Anamar Del Castillo, vice president); Matus International, Inglewood, Calif. (Anthony S. Pineda, treasurer); and Perimeter International, Irving, Texas (Dustin Eash, secretary).
In addition, the agency received applications for changes to qualifying individuals from Albacor Shipping (USA), Mahwah, N.J. (Robert C. Ryan, president); and Empire Consolidators, Fresh Meadows, N.Y. (Hsiao-Ling Chen, president); and for a license transfer from Crescent Air Freight, Valley Stream, N.Y. (Fauad Shariff, president) to Crescent Overseas Logistics.
Persons knowing of any reason why an applicant should not receive an OTI license or amendment are urged to contact the FMC's Office of Transportation Intermediaries in Washington at (202) 523-5843. Lists of licensed OTIs (applications approved, bonds in place and fully licensed) - both ocean freight forwarders and NVOs - are also available on the FMC Website
