The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received seven license applications for review.
The FMC received non-vessel-operating common carrier license applications from Balkans Air Corp., Brooklyn, N.Y. (Begator Hila, president); and Ghanem Forwarding, Halethorpe, Md. (Wael Ghanem, general manager).
The agency received NVO/ocean freight forwarder license applications from Omega's Five, Miami (Amparo R. Murcia, secretary); and Tosie, Houston (Pius S. Tomdio, president).
The FMC also received ocean freight forwarder license applications from Encompass Global Logistics, Irvine, Calif. (Asa Cheng, manager); Motoni Global Investment Co., Forest Park, Ga. (Olajide T. Oni, president); and North Star Container, Edina, Minn. (Shawn D. Steen, assistant vice president).
