Andrew Clarke has resigned as president and chief executive officer of Panther Expedited Services, while R. Louis Schneeberger has been promoted to take over this role.
Edward Wadel, the company’s former chief information officer, is the new chief operating officer.
No reason was given for Clarke's resignation. He had served as president since 2006 and CEO since 2007. When Clarke was appointed CEO, he took over for founder Daniel Sokolowski.
Schneeberger joined Panther in 2010 as its chief financial officer and treasurerm, while Wadel has worked with Panther since its founding in 1992, but officially joined the company in 2006.
Texas-based USA Truck has appointed John Simone, a 30-year industry veteran, to president and CEO. He has also joined the company’s board of directors.
Cliff Beckham, who has served as president since 2007, returned to his previous role, serving as executive vice president and CFO. Simone most recently worked as the CEO of LinkAmerica, and worked in various roles at Ryder, Greatwide Logistics and UPS.
Old Dominion Freight Line has promoted Sam Faucette to vice president of safety and compliance.
Faucette joined Old Dominion in October 2002 and previously served as director of safety compliance, training and recruiting.
Velociti, an Overland Park, Kan.-based provider of technology deployment services, has appointed Deryk Powell to president, in addition to his duties as chief operating officer.
Powell succeeds Michael Kahn, majority shareholder who remains chairman and chief executive officer of Velociti and its sister company CSTK, a distributor of transport temperature-control equipment and related products and services for the trucking industry.
The company also promoted Tim Kats to vice president and general manager.
