CEVA Logistics has named Fabio Mendunekas as vice president of business development for South America.
Mendunekas has 26 years of experience in logistics operations management, contract management with multinational companies and commercial negotiations. He previously worked at Syncreon, DHL, NCR Corp. and Ryder in the United States, Argentina, Mexico and the United Kingdom.
Lorianna Kastrop has been elected chairman of the Redwood City Port Commission, the first woman to hold the position in the port’s 76-year history.
She has served on the port authority board since June 2008.
Kastrop helps run an architectural firm founded by her husband. She succeeds Dick Dodge.
Commissioner Tom Cronin was elected vice-chair and Commissioner Ralph Garcia as secretary.
The Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) has appointed Eduardo Iglesias to executive director.
Most recently, Iglesias was legal vice president of Avianca. Prior to that, he was TACA International Airlines general counsel, where he was responsible for contract negotiations, consumer protection claims, the representation in various legal and regulatory affairs committees and symposiums, and corporate and governmental affairs.
Starting Sept. 18, Iglesias will replace Alex de Gunten, who led the organization for the past 10 years.
Cargotec has appointed Declan Guerin to chief financial officer of its MacGregor unit.
He was most recently the company’s vice president of mergers and acquisitions and has been a member of the executive committee of MacGregor since the start of 2013.
Guerin has worked for Cargotec since 2007 and has extensive financial and commercial experience gained over the last 20 years both within Cargotec and in other companies, including Caterpillar, Chevron, DHL and EMI.
