Peter R. Vigil was named assistant vice president for export sales at COSCO Container Lines Americas.
Vigil, who has 23 years of container industry experience, will be responsible for all export sales activities, both dry and refrigerated cargo, for the entire COSCO U.S. Sales force. He spent 16 years with Maersk Line and seven years with “K” Line America before joining COSCO.
The Hong Kong-based global terminal operator Modern Terminals has named Vivian Tso as chief financial officer.
Prior to joining Modern Terminals, Tso served as the group general manager of finance for The Zuellig Group and Group CFO in Shinwa International Holdings Limited. In 2001, she was a founder and CFO of BtNAccess (HK) Ltd., now PCCW Global. From 1994 to 2000, she held a number of finance leadership roles with various Asia Pacific business units of General Electric.
Carlile Transportation Systems, a TOTE Logistics company, appointed Henri Legal to vice president of less-than-truckload and facilities.
He joined Carlile from Western Canada Express, where he was the vice president of Western Canada operations, and before that served as vice president for Portside Warehousing and Distribution.
Florida-based third party logistics services provider FreightCenter has promoted Doug Walls to chief operating officer.
He has been managing the company’s infrastructure and technology development for the past eight years.
