MCC Transport has named Naresh Potty its chief commercial officer, based in Singapore.
Potty will be responsible for overseeing commercial activities including trade and marketing, key client management and business and commercial processes for the intra-Asia liner company, a unit of the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group.
He first joined the A.P. Moller–Maersk Group in 2000, holding various positions in line management, sales, marketing and general management. Prior to assuming this role, he was the country manager for MCC Transport in the Philippines.
Potty replaces Rupesh Jain, who has moved to head Maersk Line in Taiwan.
Chicago-based Legacy Transportation Services has hired John Otten to the new position of vice president of business development.
He joins Legacy from Allied Van Lines in Naperville, Ill., where he held a range of positions over his 30-year career there.
Americold, a provider of temperature-controlled warehousing and logistics to the food industry, appointed Todd Sheldon to executive vice president, general counsel, and corporate secretary.
Prior to joining Americold, Sheldon served as executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of Supervalu Inc., a grocery store chain and the second largest food distributor in the United States. Before that, he worked at Medtronic as its senior counsel.
Petrasco, an Aberdeen, U.K.-based freight forwarder which specializes in serving the energy industry, has appointed Kevin Buchan as global managing director.
Buchan joined Petrasco in 2000 and was appointed commercial manager in 2001. He moved to Dubai in 2003 as commercial director of Petrasco Middle East LLC to build the firm’s presence in the region and oversee design and construction of its oilfield logistics facility. He became managing director of Petrasco Middle East in 2010.
