Evergreen in for 'gigantic' ships

Global ocean carrier Evergreen Line on Monday said it has ordered ten 13,800-TEU containerships through a deal with Korean shipowner KIAMCO (Korea Infrastructure Investments Asset Management Co. Ltd.). The deal will see South Korea's Hyundai Heavy Industries build the vessels for delivery from the fourth quarter of 2013, with Evergreen chartering the ships from KIAMCO.
