Echo Global Logistics said Tuesday it has acquired most of the assets of Plum Logistics, a truckload transportation brokerage outfit located in Wakefield, Mass. Purple Plum is a non-asset-based service provider that specializes in temperature-controlled truckload services. During the past 12 months, it had about $17 million in gross revenue.
