Drewry: Container industry lost $5.2 billion in 2011

London-based Drewry Maritime Research estimates the container industry lost as much as $5.2 billion in 2011, despite a projected global container growth of 6.5 percent last year. This year it is predicting overall growth of just 5.4 percent.
