Descartes Systems Group has unveiled a series of extensions to its Logistics Flow Control application.
The new modules give retailers better means to coordinate with supplier-managed shipments and commercial and logistics documentation for import duty filings, the company said.
The Logistics Flow Control is a multi-party Microsoft-based cloud service that unifies the interface and interactions of retailers, suppliers, carriers, and brokers, and covers activities from the purchase order to warehouse receipt.
"Working with leading drug store, home goods and apparel retailers, we've developed a comprehensive solution that gives retailers better end-to-end control of their inbound supply chain," said Chris Jones, Descartes' executive vice president of marketing and services, in a statement. "By leveraging data across all of the parties involved in the inbound supply chain, we're helping retailers simultaneously manage their commercial, logistics and customs filing processes."
