DHL Express Chile has unveiled a 10,000-square-meter headquarters facility in Santiago, Chile, designed to help the company address growing volume demands in the South American country.
The facility is located five minutes from the Santiago International Airport.
The state-of-the-art complex includes automated sorting capabilities, enhanced safety features and an adherence to environmentally sustainable principles.
DHL Chief Executive Officer Frank Appel noted Chile achieved the top spot among Latin American countries in DHL’s connectedness survey. A large reason for this, he said, is the country’s access to international trade.
“This relatively high level of global integration, alongside its well documented commitment to economic freedom, reinforces our view that Chile offers many long-term opportunities for our customers,” he said in a statement. “We are continuously seeking to enhance our services in this region. The investment we are inaugurating today will further strengthen DHL’s logistics capabilities in Chile and support the robust growth in international trade that we anticipate in this key market.” - Jon Ross
