Cathay volume down in May

Cathay Pacific and sister airline Dragonair carried 123,403 tons of cargo in May, a drop of 10.6 percent compared to May 2011. The airlines’ cargo load factor was down 5.9 percent, to 62.3 percent, while capacity, decreased by 7.3 percent. Year to date, tonnage has declined by 10.7 percent against a capacity drop of 4.1 percent.
