CargoWise, a technology service developer for logistics services providers (LSPs), is continuing its march north into Canada by expanding its ediEnterprise application for Canada’s C.S World Cargo 2000 Ltd. and CAN ASL.
The company said its expansion in the Canadian market is focused first on providing tailored services to the country’s LSPs, with an initial emphasis on customs brokerage.
CargoWise has previously operated in Canada through its multi-national customers, but the company now has a dedicated presence. Gene Gander, CargoWise's vice president of business development for the Americas, said this presence and the company's Canadian-specific functionality has led to its growth in the Canadian LSP market.
Toronto-based licensed customs broker C.S. World selected CargoWise for a single platform for its air and sea freight, customs brokerage, warehousing, distribution, and online tracking, while CAN ASL picked the ediEnterprise service to help it start its Canadian services.
